Roger A. Schwartz
Workers' Compensation Certified Specialist by the State Bar of Arizona
B.A. Political Science, Michigan State University
Roger practices in the area of workers’ compensation, and is a State Bar of Arizona Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation. Roger received his B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University and his J.D. from the University of Miami.
Roger was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His Dad was a Local 3 Union Electrician, and his Mom worked as a cashier, “everywhere from cosmetics counters to car washes.” They all lived with Roger’s grandparents – his Grandmother, who owned a tiny little knitting store, impressively named “Beady’s Art Studio” – and his Grandfather, who was a “cutter,” one of the many unseen and uncelebrated workers in New York City’s Garment District.
Roger served as an Administrative Law Judge with the Industrial Commission of Arizona, and was Co-Chair of the State Bar’s Workers' Compensation Section. Roger is a past Chair of the Editorial Board of the Arizona Attorney, and has served on the State Bar’s Continuing Legal Education and Professionalism Course Oversight Committees. He was the 2000 recipient of the State Bar’s Continuing Legal Education Award and the 2008 recipient of the Supreme Court’s Arizona’s Judicial Branch Achievement Award. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, listed as one of Phoenix Magazine’s “Top Lawyers,” listed as one of the "Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Arizona" by the American Trial Lawyers Association and listed in Southwest Super Lawyers.
Roger has also been admitted to practice law in California, Michigan, and Florida.
